The Jet 708447 OES-80CS 6-inch x 89-inch Oscillating Edge Sander with Closed Stand comes equipped with a 1-1/2HP motor to deliver plenty of power for efficient and consistent performance. Mounted on the front, a simple, industrial style push-button switch controls the Jet OES-80CS sander and is within easy reach even when you're operating the tool. The motor power of the Jet OES-80CS is transmitted to the 6-inch x 89-inch abrasive belt via a 4-1/2-inch diameter, rubber-covered aluminum drum resulting in a belt speed of 3,900 SFPM optimum for sanding virtually any species of wood. To prevent loading of the sandpaper and unwanted heat, the Jet OES-80CS uses a 1/2-inch stroke that oscillates 108 times per minute, which utilizes a much larger area of the belt than regular straight-line belt sanders. Additonally, adjusting your new Jet OES-80CS is a breeze with a simple lever-operated tension release making tool-free belt changes a breeze and the included wrench allows you to adjust belt and motor tracking.
